Gabriel Wacker, VP of Sales & Marketing, Furniture Options, recently attended the Texas Apartment Association ONE Conference & Expo in Houston. Check out his recap and main takeaways.
The Texas Apartment Association (TAA) Conference was by far the largest conference I have been to in the past two-plus years. Flying to Houston on an early morning 6 am flight was offset by being able to fly mask free. Very exciting!
The TAA ONE Conference & Expo is a one-of-a-kind event. It is one of the most significant apartment association events in the country, and as you know, everything is done bigger in Texas.
Apartment community staff and vendors from throughout Texas and the surrounding areas attended the conference from April 27-29th.

- Keynote and inspirational speakers included Pitbull, Fredrik Eklund, and Chet Garner
- Industry experts spoke at the conference like Toni Blake, Mark Cukro, Rich George, Paul Rhodes, Lisa Trosien, and Susan Weston, among many others.
Unfortunately, we could not attend the TAA’s Wednesday Sporting Clay event for the TAA PAC. We heard it was a great success, and I hear Furniture Option’s own Sean Vaught is a sharpshooter!
On Wednesday, the opening night event featuring The Spazmatics at the outdoor venue, The Rustic, was a huge success. We had a blast singing 80’s cover songs. It was a fabulous evening of networking, dancing, and parting in Texas!
Our regular tradeshow booth was not available, so Jeremy Park’s came up with a great solution. We used our Furniture Options party tent that we usually use at golf outings as our tradeshow booth. It worked out great and was easily visible for the Thursday and Friday tradeshow hours.

We had a great time at the trade show and discussed furniture rental solutions with over a thousand attendees that stopped by our booth. We handed out our entire stockpile of Elephant shaped screen cleaners.
Looking back, it was fantastic to be amongst some of the experts in the industry and to be with our amazing crew from Furniture Options!
